Altervista sucks

Under no circumstances ever use Altervista. I created this blog as a test and to learn more about WordPress and document my learning about Android and the Nexus One.
It’s been very educational. The most important thing I learned is to not use Altervista. It seemed nice – my own domain, free, minimal ads, even the opportunity to earn a little money. However, they just broke my site for the 3rd time this year, and this time it’s so bad I can’t even access my site from the AT&T network. I’m actually posting this using my Nexus One as a wifi hotspot since I can access my site from any network but AT&T. Obviously a routing issue, but after repeated attempts to contact anyone at Altervista to remedy this with no luck, I give up.
This isn’t worth the aggravation. I’ve exported all my posts and when time permits, I’ll set up a new blog somewhere else. Sure, I may have to pay for it, but it beats having to deal with these guys.
Avoid Altervista at all costs. Trust me.
